Social Bursaries

Social Bursaries

Regis Gymnastics are committed to removing as many barriers to participation as possible and we are proud of our Social Bursary scheme to improve access. Successful applicants can receive a discretionary award of up to 80% off session fees.

The person applying on behalf of the child must be able to demonstrate that there are specific and particular benefits that participation in gymnastics will offer the child and that financial circumstances mean they cannot join the club without the bursary. A letter of support from a teacher, social worker or medical professional involved with the child’s care must also be included with the application. We welcome direct referrals from these professionals too.

We do not scrutinise personal finances, but we would also expect to see evidence of receipt of Universal Credit or evidence that the child is entitled to free school meals. Foster parents applying for children in their care do not need to supply this.

Once a bursary is awarded, the gymnast will be expected to maintain a high rate of attendance and a termly monitoring form must be completed by the applicant.

To apply for the scheme please contact us.
